Vedder Ridge Trail Gets Some Love

Chilliwack Outdoor Club representatives were out giving some much needed attention to the Vedder Ridge Trail.

A short update on the Vedder Mtn. Peak Trail.  On Oct 24 a work party from the COC (Chilliwack Outdoor Club) rebuilt/repaired the boardwalk across the bog ( at approx 4.5 km from the trail head); refurbished the cantilevered walkway (approx 5.2km) with new logs and chicken wire; and put chicken wire and added a safety line/rope on the notched log stairway  (approx. 5.3km).  The entire trail has also been marked with orange metal tags visible in
both directions from bottom to top and back. We plan to do some spot trail contouring in the next month or so.
