Vedder Running Club Generosity Benefits Vedder Mountain Trails
The Vedder Running Club has been a part of VMTA since its inception in 2004.
They are an integral part of our efforts to
legitimize and maintain our great, extensive trail network. VRC members regularly use our trails for running including their epic Saturday morning runs. For several years VRC has organized and hosted the ultra-popular “Round the Lake, Giv’r Take 30” race that features about 30 kilometres of sweet trail running. Each year following this event VRC graciously donates a portion of the proceeds back to VMTA to support our ongoing work on Vedder Mountain. November 25, 2009, Jon Coles and John Smith of VRC presented Gary Baker (Secretary, VMTA) with a generous donation. On behalf of all of us that enjoy the great trail network we thank all of those from Vedder Running Club who have generously supported our work. Though trail advocacy and trail-work can be lonely and anonymous at times, the efforts are worth it. Keep up the good work all of you dedicated Vedder Running Club folks.
